"This is an in-stream sampling point that was taken in the main stem of Montgomery Creek downstream of the confluence with the Road Trib (TMDL point MT2) and a known deep mine discharge (MON 23). Average flow at this site was 11,367 gpm. The stream is net acid at this point with the following loading values: 2260 lbs/day of acid, 58 lbs/day of iron, 369 lbs/day of manganese, and 195 lbs/day of aluminum. The average pH at this point in the stream was 4.7. Additional water quality data was collected at this point in association with the S.R.P. Coal Company (Sky Haven) “McPherson #2” surface mining operation (17850145, MP 8)." ~2008 DEP Implementation Plan
