Moshannon Creek has a natural 274 square mile watershed with an additional square mile diverted into the Sevenmile Run tributary watershed by a mine drainage treatment plant. Moshannon Creek forms near where Blair, Cambria, Centre and Clearfield Counties converge. It meanders considerably but flows generally northeast until it meets the West Branch of the Susquehanna River a few miles upstream of Karthaus, PA. For most of its length, Moshannon Creek is the county line between Centre and Clearfield Counties.
