Description: A major discharge in the West Ferris Wheel area is a large seepage area several acres in size monitored by Site 32R3. Two treatment systems were planned to treat this seepage, but only WF3 at the upper end of the area has been constructed as of 2019. The system is fed by a French drain feeding into an anoxic limestone drain, and then into a settling pond and a small wetland. The system had to be moved upslope based on wetland rulings by the Corps of Eng, and flow into the system is mainly local groundwater with little AMD seepage.
