    UNT to Indian Creek

A passive treatment system was installed to treat a mine discharge from reclaimed strip mine. The treatment system consists a siphon-based automatic limestone only bed which flushes into a settling pond. The system was called Permapress because the discharge lacked iron and therefore named after the clothing where no ironing is needed. MWA estimates $8,500 to monitor and maintain the system.
